The boys came down the following afternoon to meet thier new baby sister. It was really interesting to see each of thier unique reactions to her. Ryan was gentle and loving, wanting to hold her immediately. Aaron is extremely interested in her and how things worked, including the umbilical cord and how squishy it was. And Ethan, well he was a bit set off. It was hard to read exactly what he was thinking. He wanted to like her, but also was upset at the disruption everything had caused to his routine. So, we didn't push him to do much of anything, but within a few minutes he was ready to hug her. What a special sight it was! She is so blessed to have 3 brothers to love and care for her. I think this will be very instrumental in years to come as we encounter the various things that come with having a beautiful girl in the family! Each one of them have continued to show top her love in thier own special way. Ryan prides himself in how she responds to his gentleness in holding her, and can't wait until she can play Battleship with him. Aaron has many questions including things like how she drinks milk, and why her parts look different and when her cord falls off what that will be like. Ethan continues to be a bit skeptical but every once in a while I catch him gazing at her lovingly. Children are surely a blessing from The Lord!
